Pre-departure Medical Examination
It is important to be in good health before, during, and after your MSF assignment or field visit.
Do I need to do a
Pre-departure Medical Check?
If you already have a valid Pre-departure medical certificate from another MSF Operational Centre, you do not need to complete another. Complete Step 2 to submit your certificate.
If your field visits are cumulative < 1 month across 1 year, you do not need to complete do the Pre-departure medical check unless you have a health condition requiring follow-up.
How to do a Pre-departure Medical Exam?

STEP 1: Print and take this document to your doctor with:
- Requirements for medical check
- Vaccination requirements
- Medical Certificate to be signed and stamped by your doctor, and submitted via this link.

STEP 2: Complete this Pre-departure Health Questionnaire to inform the Staff Health Unit about any health conditions/ in case of change to your health status / if you are going to the following missions.

E-pool/Flying staff must complete the Annual Medical Check at Global Health Campus, Geneva.
HQ staff and International Mobile Staff living in Geneva or passing by Geneva can visit Global Health Campus, Geneva.

Feeling anxious or uncertain before departure is normal — it does not mean you are unprepared.
